The global conflict between extraterrestrial monsters desiring mass destruction and the super-engineered machines designed to defeat the enemy's invasion was just a prelude to the attempt to destroy humanity, which we will see in the movie "Pacific Rim: Rebellion."

John Boyega ("Star Wars: The Force Awakens") takes on the character of Jake Pentecost, once a promising pilot Jaeger, whose legendary father gave his life, saving Earth from Kaiju. Since then, Jake has gone to the criminal underworld.
